This is a common question we see from customers and the reason is because the Essential 8 is a framework that is open to interpretation. There is no prescriptive control that says how something must be configured.
The assessment that we provide is based on our E8M1+IBP baseline. So, the idea there is that if you are using inforcer you can achieve 100% on the assessment by deploying the policies within our baseline.
Obviously if you keep the main settings that are called out in the assessment you can configure above and beyond as needed.
