Overview of Windows Autopatch Groups
Windows Autopatch organises devices into four distinct groups, each serving a specific role in the update deployment process:
Ring 1 Test Group: This group is used to verify updates before wider distribution.
Ring 2 48 Hour Group: Devices in this group receive updates 48 hours after the Test group, allowing for initial monitoring.
Ring 3 30 Day Less Critical Group: Updates are deployed to less critical devices after 30 days, ensuring the stability of prior releases.
Ring 4 Last Group: This final group is not assigned to any particular devices and is automatically created by Autopatch.
