We are moving our infrastructure from a single regional instance within the UK (Azure) to multiple regions globally (Azure) to improve compliance with data residency and improve performance/latency for our customers across different regions.
The new hosted regions within Azure are as follows
United Kingdom (UK South)
European (Germany West Central)
North America (US East 2)
Australia (Australia East)
All customers (including UK customers) will be migrated from the old instance of the inforcer infrastructure to the new one based on communications that have been sent around to all customers and the desired migration groups/timeframes.
If you want to know when you will be migrated, please check with your Account Manager who will keep you updated with dates throughout this migration window.
We hope to have completed the migration by the end of October for all customers.
Prerequisites
Please ensure that you understand which date you will be migrated as there are two major items of impact to consider below, but ahead of this you should also ensure that you have the following items considered too.
Have an administrative account that is not SSO enabled (has a username, password and MFA code separate to SSO)
Expected Impact
During your migration window
You will be notified by email when your migration window is starting, and a second email when your migration is complete. During this time period, please do not add new tenants to inforcer as these won't be migrated to your new platform. Please use your new platform URL immediately after the migration is complete.
Once you have been migrated there are two major changes that all migrated customers will be affected by.
New inforcer URL
The old URL to login into the platform has always been https://portal.inforcer.com/ however going forward there will now be regional links which replace the old URL (https://portal.inforcer.com/ will only be used to log into the old platform if you have not yet been migrated).
Region | Login URL |
United Kingdom (UK) | |
North America (NA) | |
European Union (EU) | |
Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) |
If you attempt to use https://portal.inforcer.com/ after you have been migrated, you'll given a login error, so please ensure you use the respective URLs above. Once the full migration has been completed we will repurpose the old URL to provide regional flags for you to choose from to direct you to your respective region.
Update Single-Sign On (SSO)
For migrated customers who have setup Single-Sign On (SSO) you will need to update your callback URLs within the enterprise application in Entra ID from the old URL to a new one.
We recommend that prior to migration you have an account that is not SSO enabled (typically a break glass account) with administrative access to modify SSO.
